Add a lightbox or popup embed

Use Lightbox or Popup embed when a form should open over the host page. These options need extra restraint because automatic overlays can interrupt visitors.

Steps

  1. Open Publish > Embed and choose Lightbox or Popup embed.
  2. Select Show Code.
  3. Set the optional button text. Leaving it blank hides the trigger, so do this only for an intentional automatic-open experience.
  4. Set colors, width, height, and visual style. For a popup embed, select its screen position.
  5. Leave automatic open settings off by default: interval timeout, page-load auto-open, and exit-intent open.
  6. If an automatic trigger is required, enable only one, use a reasonable delay, and test it against accessibility, consent, and site UX requirements.
  7. Copy the code to an approved staging page and test open, close, focus/keyboard behaviour, mobile layout, and form completion.

Expected result

The overlay is intentional, easy to close, responsive, and does not prevent a visitor from using the underlying page or completing the form.
